Police looking for truckload of beef

Police in Alberta are looking for a tractor-trailer load of beef that left from the JBS plant at Brooks, Alta., but never arrived at its destination in the United States.

The refrigerated trailer was carrying more than $230,000 worth of beef and was scheduled to arrive at its destination Aug. 30.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said it’s apparently traveling on “fraudulent documents” and a “fraudulent name” -  Transport Pascal Charland of Chateauguay, Que.

Police are investigating a similar vanished truckload of hot tubs. That happened from Artic Spas south of Edmonton the first week of September.
