Owners of Thomas Dairy, in Rutland, Vermont, are closing the business saying COVID-19 hit their business hard.
They said they lost sales to college students, restaurants and tourists.
Abby Thomas , one of the owners and a fifth-generation family member, also pointed to increased competition from organic and nut milks, and said the dairy needs expensive upgrades.
The owners were not able to find a buyer for their business.
