A group of volunteers is proposing to develop a 10-acre site in Listowel as a place where the public can learn about agriculture.
It will be called the Ontario Agri-Food Discovery Centre and organizers say it will be the first of its kind in Canada.
The Municipality of North Perth is providing a part-time administrator to get the project into place.
It grew out of plans to develop a children’s museum.
