Saputo Inc. reported a 10 per cent increase in sales for its first fiscal quarter, but profits stalled at $142 million, only one million more than the same quarter last year.
Sales totaled $4.61 billion compared with $4.21 billion a year ago.
The company said the results reflect a continued solid performance by its Canadian business, meaningful improvements in the U.S. and higher sales volumes across its operations.
